Mesmerizing Andaman

The name of the Andaman Islands is ancient. A theory that became prevalent in the late 19th century is that it derives from Andaman, the Malay the Sanskrit name of Hanuman. These islands have been inhabited for several thousand years, at the very least. The earliest archaeological evidence yet documented goes back some 2,200 years. It has 325 islands which cover an area of 6,408 km2 .

Itinerary
Day 1 : MUMBAI - CHENNAI – PORT BLAIR
Arrival at Port Blair. Meet & greet by Aradhana’s representative. Tour Starts. On arrival transfer to hotel. After lunch, in the evening, will have an opportunity to view the Light & sound show at the Cellular Jail. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 2 : PORT BLAIR
After breakfast, we will take Ross Island trip to visit - Ruins of once Headquarters of Andaman & Nicobar Islands in the British Raj. It was the Administrative Headquarters for the islands, before an earthquake rocked it in 1941. The headquarters were then shifted to Port Blair. One can see remnants of an opulent past in the ruins of the church, swimming pool and the chief commissioner's residence with its huge gardens and grand ballrooms. There is also a cemetery and a small museum managed by the Indian Navy. The museum has on display a collection of old records. The island presently houses the ruins of the state Balroom, the Chief Commissioner’s House, the Government House, Church, the old 'Andamanese Home', which was[1] Hospital, Bakery, Press, Swimming Pool and Troop Barracks, all in dilapidated condition, reminiscent of the old British regime. Ever since Dr. James Pattison Walker arrived in Port Blair aboard the East India Company’s steam frigate ‘Semiramis’ on 10 March 1858, this island remained under British occupation till 1942. From 1942 to 1945, the island was under the occupation of Japan. However, the allies reoccupied the island in 1945 and later abandoned it. During British occupation, this island was the seat of power of the British. Then proceed to the North Bay - Coral Island tour where you can enjoy swimming & have an Opportunity to take a Glass Bottom Boat Ride to view Corals (optional). The corals at North Bay are rather good and spread over large area. You're very likely to spot many fish, lobsters, or even clams on the coral reef. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 3 : PORT BLAIR – HAVELOCK
Early morning depart for Havelock : with area of 113.93 km2 , The island is named after a British General, Henry Havelock who served in India. The island's current population consists of mainly Bangali settlers. Many of these settlers have Bangladeshi origin as these people were given settlement by the Indian government after the 1971 war between India and Pakistan. Beach No. 7 on the western coast, better known as "Radha Nagar" Beach, is one of the most popular beaches on Havelock and was named "Best Beach in Asia" by Time in 2004. We’ll depart for Havelock at 06.30 Hrs. reach Havelock by 08.30 Hrs. After lunch, spend time on the wellknown beach, Radhanagari. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 4 : HAVELOCK
After a leisure breakfast, we sail for Elephant Beach in a Mechanized Dinghy. The travel time is around 35-40 minutes to reach Elephant Beach. This beach has one of the best coral reefs in the world & the underwater marine life is very lively & colorful. One session of Snorkeling will be complimentary here. Please do not forget to take snacks for the trip and lots of drinking water & changing dress for the day trip. After the completion of the coral island tour, return back to respective resort in Havelock Island. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 5 : HAVELOCK – NEIL ISLAND
After breakfast, depart for Neil Island also known as Saheed Dweep. The Island attracts a large number of tourists thanks to its pristine white beaches and natural rock formations. It is also popularly known as the vegetable bowl of Andamans due to its variety of vegetable yields. Neil Island is a good tourist destination for people to explore its various places. After lunch visit Laxmanpur Beach which is known for its sunset views. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 6 : NEIL ISLAND - PORT BLAIR
After breakfast we’ll depart for Bharatpur Beach has coral reefs teeming with tropical fish. Howrah Bridge is a natural rock formation accessible at low tide. Near the island’s wharf is Neil Kendra village, with a curving, sandy bay dotted with boats. Off the southeast coast, the tiny Sir Hugh Rose Island is a sanctuary for turtles. after sightseeing depart for Port Blair. On arrival depart for some local sightseeing places in Port Blair like Chatham Saw Mill : is the saw mill situated in Chatham Island. It was set up in 1883 with the primary objective to meet the local requirements of saw and timber for the constructional works. It is owned by the state government, Anthropological Museum : For all those interested in knowing about the life and times of the tribes of the Islands. Fisheries Museum, This museum is located adjacent to the Rajiv Gandhi WaterSport Complex, Port Blair. And this place exhibits species of marine life endemic to the islands. On arrival Transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 7 : PORT BLAIR
Baratang, 100 kms north of Port Blair by bus or sumo passes through Jarawa Reserve Forest. This island between south and middle Andaman has beautiful beaches mangrove creeks, mud-volcanoes and limestone caves. Andaman trunk road to Rangat and Mayabunder goes through this island. Limestone cave can be explored with the permission of forest department at Baratang and proper local guidance LIMESTONE CAVES : The journey through the Baratang creek is a refreshing experience .as the speed boat knifes its way through the water of the Baratang creek, the sight of tiny islands and mangrove vegetation provides a suiting effect to the eyes .The serrated edges of the limestone blocks shine in the dark , there is a narrow walkway inside with constant dripping of minute water drops from the ceiling. MUD VOLCANO : The present eruption covers an area of over 1,000 square meters and has resulted in the formation of the sub-circular mound of about 30 meters in diameter with a height of about 2 meters at the centre. Moreover, their occurrence suggests a tectonically unstable terrain, and hence they can cause damage to man and property of the nearby human settlements/villages. Overnight stay at Port Blair.
Day 8 : PORT BLAIR – MUMBAI / PUNE
Depart for Swatantraveer Savarkar Airport Port Blair to connect flight to Mumbai / Pune.
