Sikkim, is the least populous state in India and the second-smallest state after Goa in total area, covering approximately 7,096 km2. It also has the only open land border between India and China. It is the only state in India with an ethnic Nepali majority & has 11 official languages like Nepali, Bhutia, Lepcha, Tamang, Limbu, Newari, Rai, Gurung, Magar, Sunwar & English.

Darjeeling, the Queen of Hills! The name is thought to be a derivation of 'Dorjeeling' meaning the place of the Dorjee, the majestic thunderbolt of the Lamaist religion

Itinerary
Day 1 : BAGDOGRA – GANGTOK
Arrive at Baghdogra Airport - Meet & greet by Aradhana Representative. Tour Starts. Freshen up & transfer to Gangtok. Dinner & overnight in Hotel.
Day 2 : GANGTOK
After breakfast, depart for Gangtok local sightseeing which will include : Do Drul Chorten : Built by Trulshik Rinpoche, head of the Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhism in 1945. Inside this stupa, a complete set of Dorjee Phurba, Kangyur relics (Holy Books) and other religious objects. Around the stupa are 108 Mani Lhakor or prayer wheels. The stupa is surrounded by Chorten Lakahang and Guru Lakhang, where two statues of GuruRinpoche are present; Research Institute of Tibetology : Since its establishment in 1958, the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology has sponsored and promoted research on the religion, history, language, art and culture of the people of the Tibetan cultural area which includes Sikkim. The NIT library holds one of the largest collections of Tibetan works in the world outside Tibet and a museum of Tibetan iconography and religious art. It has published the Bulletin of Tibetology since 1964 and numerous books over the years. The site on which the institute was established was donated by the late Chogyal (king) of Sikkim Sir Tashi Namgyal. The foundation stone of the institute was laid by the 14th Dalai Lama on the 10th of February 1957 and the institute was declared open by the late Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on the 1st of October 1958; Flower Show, Ganesh Tok : the temple is also known for the bird's eye view of Gangtok town, Tashi view point : constructed by the King of Sikkim, Tashi Namgyal, Cottage Industry and Handicraft Centre : established in 1957, the foundation of this institute was laid during the reign of the Chogyals of Sikkim. The institute was started with an aim to preserve and propagate the talent and skills of local artisans. Dinner & overnight in Hotel.
Day 3 : GANGTOK – TSOMGO LAKE - BABA MANDIR
After breakfast depart for Tsomgo Lake or Changu Lake is a glacial lake at elevation of 3,780 m (12,400 ft) & Baba Mandir : Major "Baba" Harbhajan Singh (August 3, 1941 – September 11, 1967) was an Indian Army soldier who died near the Nathula Pass. He is revered by soldiers of the Indian army as the "Hero of Nathula" and the army men have also built a Shrine in his honor. He has been accorded the status of saint by believers who refer to him as the Baba (saintly father). Many of the faithful people, chiefly Indian army personnel posted in and around the Nathula Pass and the Sino-Indian border between the state of Sikkim and Chinese occupied Tibet have come to believe his spirit protects every soldier in the high-altitude terrain of the Eastern Himalayas. As with most saints, the Baba is said to also grant favors presumably to those who revere and worship him. Dinner & overnight in Hotel.
Day 4 : GANGTOK – NAMCHI - PELLING
After breakfast start for Pelling, at an altitude of 2,150 m (7,200 feet), Enroute visit Temi Tea Garden, the only tea garden in Sikkim and considered one of the best in India and in the world, Samdruptse the 45m-high statue of Guru Padmasambhava lords over the forested Samdruptse ridge and is visible for miles around. Completed in 2004 on a foundation stone laid by the Dalai Lama & Siddheshwar Dham (Chardham) has a 108 ft tall statue of Shiva, replicas of 12 Jyotirlingas, models of sacred Chardham Hindu Temples of Jagannath, Badrinath, Dwaraka and Rameswaram and a 18-feet statue of Kirateshwar, a hunter incarnation of Shiva in Namchi. Day 5 : PELLING
Rimbi water Falls, Khecheopalri Lake, originally known as Kha-Chot-Palri (meaning the heaven of Padmasambhava), is a sacred Lake for both Buddhists & Hindus, which is believed to be a wish fulfilling lake. The local name for the lake is Sho Dzo Sho, which means "Oh Lady, Sit Here". Rimbi Rock Garden, Kanchenjunga Waterfall a popular perennial waterfall. Pemayangtse Monastery : Pemayangtse Monastery Planned, designed and founded by Lama Lhatsun Chempo in 1705, it is one of the oldest and premier monasteries of Sikkim, also the most famous in west Sikkim. Originally built by Lhatsun Chenpo in the 17th century, as a small Lhakhang, it was subsequently enlarged during the reign of the third Chogyal Chakdor Namgyal who was considered as Lhatsun Chenpo's third reincarnate, Jigme Pawo. Rabdantse Ruins was the second capital of the former kingdom of Sikkim from 1670 to 1814. The capital city was destroyed by the invading Gurkha army and only the ruins of the palace and the Chortens are seen here now. Dinner & overnight in Hotel.
Day 6 : PELLING – DARJEELING
Darjeeling – the Queen of Hills. Evening arrival at Darjeeling. Evening free for shopping. Dinner & overnight in Hotel.
Day 7 : DARJEELING SIGHTSEEING
Early Morning (at 04:00 am) drive to Tiger hill (8,400 ft.) is best known for the dazzling sunrise view of the Kanchenjunga (28,208 ft. Worlds 3rd highest peak) and the snow covered peaks of the entire eastern Himalayan range. On your way back visit Ghoom Monastery built in 1875 by Lama Sherab Gyatso, popular name of Yiga Choeling Monastery. There is a 15-feet high statue of "Maitreya Buddha" (Coming Buddha) in the monastery. It contains images of Buddha’s disciples, Chenrezi and Chongapa. and Batasia Loop a spiral of a narrow gauge railway track where the Toy Train negotiates a sudden sharp descent from Ghoom. It's a wonderful viewing place with manicured gardens, streams and falls, from where you can get a wide range view of the Darjeeling's landscape, Kanchenjunga and the other Eastern Himalayan peaks. After breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute a destination by itself and a said to be a pilgrimage for all climbing enthusiasts of the world. It was established in honor of Tenzing Norgay after he and Sir Edmund Hillary climbed the Everest in 1953. P.N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed) is unique and houses many animals of high altitude that you can rarely see anywhere else in the world. The zoo specializes in conservation programs of many endangered species like the Red Panda, Snow Leopard, Tibetan Wolf and others. Tenzing Rock a gigantic natural rock in Darjeeling is named after Tenzing Norgay, the man who created history by climbing the Everest first time along with Edmund Hillary in 1953, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed) Another important field of welfare work undertaken by the Centre is its health programme, which benefits not only the refugees of the Centre but hundreds of surrounding local people. The hospital was established in 1961 through the American Relief Services, Tea Garden (outer view), and Japanese Temple known as the Nipponzan Myohoji Buddhist Temple. The two storied white building was built in a traditional Japanese style in the year 1972. Evening free for shopping or leisure. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Day 8 : DARJEELING –KALIMPONG
After breakfast Check-out from hotel in time and proceed to visit Kalimpong : on a ridge overlooking the Teesta River, known for its educational institutions, many of which were established during the British colonial period. It used to be a gateway in the trade between Tibet and India before China's annexation of Tibet. – Delo Point : It is the highest point in Kalimpong. It offeres a breath taking view of the plains & mighty Teesta. Dr. Graham’s Home School : a unique educational institution started in 1990 by Dr. John Anderson Graham, a missionary with six orphans. The school, situated in a 500 are estate on the slopes of Kalimpong’s hill, has a strength over 700 boys & girls, who are accommodated in small cottages in a picturesque setup. It has its own dairy, poultry & bakery. Every year in the month of May the school organizes ‘Mayfair’. Dinner & overnight in Hotel.
Day 9 : KALIMPONG – BAGDOGRA AIRPORT DROP
After breakfast Check-out from hotel and transfer to Bagdogra Airport for your onward journey. Tour Ends.
